Day 8 – Made It!

Number 8

Just before midnight last night, I ended on a good note. I manage to write 1900 (rough) words. I wasn’t sure with how the day was going and having to get groceries last night, but I made it!!!

*Thank you, God, for helping me!*

NaNo is proving to be a tough ride and it was quite stressful at the beginning, but I’ve found that once I’ve gotten into it more and write every day, the easier it gets. Well the flow of writing tends to get easier. Life circumstances still nudge there way in there, but dealing with it calmly helps instead of getting upset about it. That is something I’ve learned and still working on.

Just asking God to help me through this on many levels! May He guide you as well.

Good luck!

Article Finished

Tonight I finished my article titled “Grief Is Not The End” for Voice4Society. The article ended up being nine pages and over 5,400 words. Longer than I had expected, but that’s okay. That is one thing I like about writing is not knowing how long a story, article idea, etc. will keep you enticed so you will keep writing until you just know that moment when all is done.

I used the program eSword to help with my Biblical research for this article. It is a very valuable tool and not only helps me find the verses I am looking for, but it also has some great commentaries as well. I highly recommend it for anyone doing Biblical research and Bible study.

I will post a link to my article when I get word that it has been published. Please, stay tuned!

Tomorrow I will be working on fleshing out some notes that were given to me by the V4S staff, so it will be back to eSword and studying God’s word! Love this opportunity to learn and to teach! 🙂

Camp NaNoWriMo

Day 25 of August Camp NaNo – Late Evening

It has been a busy day around home today…planting eight pink lady apple trees all grown from seed, watering them, tending the vegetable garden, cooking dinner, having a bath, then Bible study with my husband and father in law and so on. It was a great day with beautiful warm weather with a refreshing breath of wind. What an awesome day God has given us here and now, after having a glass of Sangria for the first time, I am feeling relaxed, all be it a little sleepy, but I am finally able to sit down and work on my story again.

How far I will get depends on my ability to keep my eyelids open. lol. That should be job in itself. But I will belt out some words no matter what. Don’t think I’d be able to sleep well knowing I didn’t at least write SOMETHING today…er…this evening.

So I will go for now and continue working on chapter three. I made a great dent in the chapter last night so I hope to make a bigger dent in it tonight. Curious to see how far I will go.

**God, please help me with this endevour and to succeed at my goal, Amen.**

Here goes!

August Camp NaNo

Geeze, here it is in the middle of August 2012 and I just realized it is another Camp NaNo month. Ugh! Some time to realize it!  I do have a story in mind and I’ll begin writing, but I think I may be a little late to meet the deadline of 50,000 by the end of the month. However, God works wonders and with Him there is no telling what can happen, so….I am just going to plug along with what is sitting in my brain waiting to get out, and see what happens. Very interested and excited to see what happens! You never know with God leading your life where you’re going to be taken next, so here goes all my fellow campers. Best of luck to you and may God bless you on your writing endeavors!

Yahoo Contributor Network

“Scarificial Lamb” and “He Has Risen!”

Yesterday and today I have submitted to pieces to the Yahoo Contributor Network, both dealing with Easter.

“Sacrificial Lamb” is a poem that depicts the life of Christ up through his resurrection.

“He Has Risen!” is an article where I took about six verses relating to Easter and wrote about how they related to Easter and how those verses have affected me in some way.  The Bible I used for this is the New Revised Standard Version, which is just a version of the Bible that has been the easiest for me to read and understand.

Both of these pieces are currently under review. I will post links when they become available for viewing.
