Changing It Up

So lately I have been having serious issued with create space not sending a link to my email address. And I have tried several times. I have tried publishing my books in KDP but again having issues and email Amazon about the problem a couple of times but never heard anything from them.

Today I did something bold. I removed all of my books from KDP and I am taking a new tactic. This might mean more work but I think it will be worth it.

Remember Lulu.com and Smashwords.com? Well I am going to be publishing my paperback and hardcovers through lulu.com and my ebooks through Smashwords.com. I know this will mean more booklets to read to learn how format is to be done for each platform but I think it will be worth it. The only way to really know is to try my ideas out and see what happens.

I have worked with both lulu and Smashwords in the past and I have always enjoyed using lulu. Smashwords I would have some struggles with but hopefully it won’t be too bad this time around.

I’ll let you know if I hear anything from Amazon, but I’m betting I won’t.

So now I need to find out if I need a new ISBN for each of my books and if that means I’m going to have to change the titles as well. I may have to visit my writers’ group on Facebook and see what others suggest. Just comes down to using your resources.

If any of you have tried what I am about to delve into, would you let me know how things turned out for you? I would love to hear what came about.

Thanks and take care.

Playtime with Amazon’s Search Engine and Selling Prompts

Playtime with Amazon’s Search Engine and Selling Prompts. by Jason Matthews is a great article on how to use Amazon’s search engine to generate keywords for your book. The keywords can be use in your title, interior book content, and in the keyword section of KDP. I think this would work for Create Space as well.

Some great advice here and something we Indie Authors need to keep in mind.

Thanks, Jason!
