It’s after 10PM and everyone is in bed asleep. Even the dogs. I should be. Having a newborn I should be sleep when he sleeps but it’s so hard when the writing bug has come and won’t leave! Not that I want it to, mind you. I have one project in the works right now and thinking about another one I am planning to write for Camp NaNo in April. I know you’re probably thinking I’m crazy even thinking about doing this with a baby. And no I’m not one of those that does fine on little sleep. I do best on 9. But I am finding that even a little bit of writing, helps me cope with the stresses of everyday life. Plus, it’s fun and I enjoy it. With only 500 words as my word count goal, I think I should be able to reach that each day. We’ll find out!
I’ll be writing a short story this time around. Fantasy like.
How many of you will be writing this April?
Will you be writing fiction, nonfiction, novel, or short story?
I would love to hear from so feel free to leave me a note in the comments.
Bye for now!
My just had a baby about a month ago, so I agree that it’s hard. But you should have something (like writing) to keep yourself a bit sane through it all. Good luck!
I’ll be participating in Camp as well. I’m trying something different and will be writing a Peter Pan retelling.

I agree! And writing is one of those things that does help. Your story sounds awesome! When it’s published you’ll have to let me know so I can buy it. Good luck!

I’ll be writing this April too! My word count goal is roughly about 10,000 because I felt like 50,000 was way too ambitious (not to mention daunting) for camp. My project is a novel which is set in Texas. What’s yours on? x

My story is a fantasy short story that I think may end up being more for kids. I hadn’t intended that but that’s the way it’s going. Best of luck to you on your story!! 🙂

I am working on getting last years NaNoWriMo novel straightened out. I’m also writing outlines, a universe bible, and a more detailed chapter by chapter outline at the moment. I’ve just started my first fanfic piece as well 🙂

Wow! You have quite the project list going. How do you keep everything organized? Do you ever get confused? I wish you the best in your endeavors!

I’m not quite sure how I’m keeping everything organised. I think so far it’s been luck lol. I have just brought a white board though, to try and keep track. And thank you, I’m determined to have a productive year 🙂

Hey there, cabin mate and fellow Christian! My username is B_Daring on there. I don’t think you’re crazy at all! I’ve got three kiddos, aged 2 – 6 years, and have been writing since my first was in diapers. It might not be easy working around them, but it’s doable. 🙂 Currently working on the third draft of the first novel in my fantasy series. Good luck with yours, I like the excerpt! 🙂

Thank you so much! I am finding it is more doable than I first thought. I have a couple of projects going, but for Camp NaNo I picked up a story I started last year. I hope to have it finished this year. That’s awesome you’ve come so far on your manuscript. I wish you the very best with it! Please let me know when it’s published. We could do an interview and I could post it on my blog. I could do a book review as well. How does that sound?
